Becca Halcyon Days: Mineral Blush in Flowerchild

i fell in love with Becca's summer look Halcyon Days and ordered some items on zuneta.com - today i want to show you the Mineral Blush in Flowerchild.
it contains 6g and costs 25£/~29.49€ which is a fairly high price tag - but i really wanted to try their blushes since i've heard so many good things about them. also the product videos on zuneta.com are very helpful so i doubted less.
it comes in a really sturdy rubberized compact with the signature Becca-medal on the lid.
Flowerchild is a coral pink with very fine gold shimmer. it's smooth and pigmented and has a very finely milled texture. it swatches almost like a satin finish but applies evenly as a warm light cotton candy pink flush with a fine pale gold sheen without beeing greasy or emphasizing on uneven skin. i like to use a soft squirrel hair brush with it to avoid it to get messy, i only need to tap twice into the pan for one cheek. it's easily buildable to a richer flush.
it stays all day on me without getting blotchy or oxidizing. this is a pretty colour that goes with many eye make ups and looks great with a slight tan.
however i find i a bit hard to choose the blush colours sight unseen and find this shade a bit too "common" for my stash, but i get lured into such colours over and over again ;)

  6. That Becca blush blends out so nicely! Personally, I like the Orange Blossom the best when compared side-to-side.

  7. I was seriously considering buying this one, because I love the texture and glow of Becca blush. Still, I can see that this colour resembles at least a couple of blushes in my collections (that are beautifully glowy as well), so I can pass up this one.
    I love the name though, Flowerchild. I still think about the other one that is a bit of a peachy bronze of this collection...

  9. I've never heard of Becca before but that's probably just because I'm learning more and more about makeup every day. I love Flowerchild, however, and may have to look into that brand now because I am a blush addict.

    It looks very beautiful and natural on you. Kind of a natural rosy flush. Very pretty!

    Love the blog!

  10. @prinzessin_paprika: dankeschön! das amu werde ich morgen näher beleuchten ;)

    @anonymous: als nicht so großer Benefit und auch Coralista-anhänger empfehle ich wohl eher das produkt von becca. coralista hat einen fantastischen duft und eine feine textur, allerdings missfällt mir (neben der verpackung) der eher platte weißliche schimmer. als blush and sich find ich ihn nicht so ganz gelungen.

    @graphology: dankeschön!!!

    @flyavsted: thank you, i am now even more curious about the other shades... ;)

    @martha: thank you!

    @hopelessly devoted to makeup: the laura mercier is also on my hitlist. a perfectly wearable shade with beautiful fine gold shimmer.

    @birkinbagbeauty: that's also my only complaint, but it's not becca's fault ;) great product but i already own some lookalikes in their effect which takes away a bit of its unique-ness.

    @aureolis: den shimmering skin perfector habe ich auch und liebe ihn. ich hätte am liebsten noch einen weiteren ton davon (hab schon pearl, möchte noch opal oder so probieren). swatchen würde ich auch gerne, dann würden sicher noch ein paar eyeshadows mit dürfen ;)

    @JC: thank you! becca is a great brand i also would love to discover more.

  11. That is so pretty! I'm really keen to try one of the mineral blushers. Do you remember which product(s) you were wearing on your lips, I love the colour?

  12. That looks lovely. I haven't tried any of becca's powder blushers but I love their cream blush and cheek tints!

  13. @modestyBrown: i was wearing Chanel Rouge Allure Lacque in Santal :)

    @luv2smilexo: thank you! which shades of the cream blushes/tints do you like most? i see tuberose cream blush being quite promoted by the pixiwoos on yt. do you have it?
