setting and effect powders. an overview.

not only of foundations, i'm also a big fan of loose powders and subtly glowing effect powders (less than a highlighter, more than a powder).
i just really appreciate a good powder that rounds up a beautiful complexion make up and add a velvety smooth radiance, that sets your foundation and make you feel pampered even on the most average day. i've tried and loved many of them, through my "I'm diggin' powders!" series you might know ;)
so this is just a summery post to pack into the sidebar as navigation help, i hope you don't mind.

Artdeco High Definition Compact Powder

this jar in the photo is just an eyeshadow, i have sold the original product away ;)

Guerlain Météorites

Lunasol Skin Contrast Face Powder

MAC Magically Cool Liquid Powder in Truth & Light

Shiseido Loose Powder

tools of the trade

these are some of my favourite brushes for application:

i prefer a super soft brush to push my powder into my skin with the brush tip and then blend it out in swiping motions to have a super sheer veil of powder instead of the heavier "rolling the powder  pouf" method.
i'd really like to try a pouf made of swan's dawn, though.
