Chanel's Rouge Allure Lacque in #707 Empire is a limited edition shade from the holiday collection 2011. sadly it's not widely available in germany, so i had to order it from the US from Maureen. i am a big fan of Chanel's RAL-formula, so i didn't hesitate to order when i heard that there will be a new shade released.
the RAL are liquid lipsticks, i have already shown you #77 Santal here. they come in short tubes of black lacquered glass and metal caps with gold top and feel weighty and luxurious in my hand. they have a doe's foot shaped applicator which is curved to adapt to your lips.
each contains 6ml of product and costs 32$/31.95€.
Empire is a warm, rich berry pink colour infused with fine multicolour, but mostly gold shimmer bits. it has a creamy and smooth formula and a high pigmentation. it applies evenly without settling or bleeding into lip lines and moisturises my lips well. i get about 4-5 hours of wear with it.
it is almost opaque in one thin layer and has a creamy, shiny finish. my lips are already quite pigmented, this is one or two nuances richer than a MLBB colour for me. the berry pink looks beautiful on me, it's almost a bright colour but still very wearable. the gold shimmer glistens in the sun and in direct light and makes this a special, festive colour.
here you can see how it sparkles golden in the sun
