how could i overlook the Rouge Bunny Rouge Fire Drops Loose Glitter Pigment in Wishing For Wings all the time?
i needed Jane from Modesty Brown to push me into the right direction with her post about it...
Wishing For Wings hasn't caught my attention because its colour is displayed as a pastel lilac on the official swatch pic, but Jane's swatch convinced me instantly! it seemed much more muted and is in the same colour family as my beloved MAC Shale or Hypnotizing eyeshadows.
so i ordered it with one of my last zuneta.com orders and now i can admire it since about 1 week.
it contains 1.8g of loose eyeshadow powder and costs 24£/about 28€.
the packaging is beautifully designed and really something special, there is a felt tip applicator that you put into the tube to get some product. but at the same time, it's my only issue on this product. i like to use a brush to grab the product so i can control the amount and intensity i put on my lids. also a brush allows a better control of the shape.
this way i would have to use the applicator, put some product onto a small dish or the back of my hand with it and then get it from there with a brush. and the applicator just gets too little product for an additional transfer (the amount would be ideal to apply directly onto the lid, but i prefer a good brush).
Wishing For Wings is a super shimmery muted lavender with an almost metallic finish. in the sunlight it has the most amazing multicolour sparkles - you know i love such sparkle effects ;) applied, it looks like a silver with purplelish haze. it's very finely milled and adheres well to the skin without fall outs. it applies evenly and also blends out easily to a sheer pearly metallic finish.
because it is so finely milled to an almost creamy consistency, it tends to crease a little earlier than normal (after about 6-7 hours without a base), so i recommend to use a good eyelid primer or long-wearing cream eyeshadow as a base before.
if you don't like shimmery eyeshadows, skip this. but if you love them, try it!! i wish there were more muted shades, the others seem quite light to me. there is a darker silver, but i'm afraid it would be similar to some shades i already own.
this is how it looks in sunlight. click to enlarge it to see the multicolour sparkles!
how it looks on me: i applied it on the inner half of the lid as well as on the lower lashline.

Thank you so much for the mention! Your picture of the sparkles is amazing. I know what you mean regarding the application. For me it's been useful as otherwise I can struggle with loose pigments but if you prefer to use a brush, it makes it tricky. Hopefully they will do more of these pigments in darker colours in the future. I know I would be very tempted ;)

Ich muss ganz ehrlich sagen...ich bin total angetan. Spätestens beim Vergleich mit Hypnotizing, den ich damals leider verpasst habe.
