Make Up Atelier Paris Eyeshadows.

well, this is some more collateral damage of my search for the perfect intense gold eyeshadow. the Make Up Atelier Paris Eyeshadows are available on love-makeup.co.uk and cost 4.75£ each.
there is a wide variety of shades, but they don't offer the whole range at all times and you can't even see how many shades normally are in the regular line - so i just discovered some very interesting shade names that were not there when i ordered.
they come in refill pan form or in pre-made palettes with 5 shades each for 25£. these pans have the same diameter as MAC refills with 26mm and 1.5g content. they are not magnetised (so you need to stick your own magnets to them to fit into custom palettes) but come with label stickers, which i think is really nice - so you can stick them on after you attached the magnets.
i bought 7 eyeshadows - the shipping was 2.95£ and took about 10 days. i found it really annoying that they don't have realistic images or swatches of the shades on the shop site. there are only notes which shades are matte and symbolic colour bars, and even these are everything else than close to reality.

here are the shades i bought:

Gris Violet - Gris Brun - Bleu Noir Irisé - Patina Gold - Marron Irisé - Nacre Orange - Argent Mauve
Gris Violet - Gris Brun - Bleu Noir Irisé - Patina Gold - Marron Irisé - Nacre Orange - Argent Mauve
Gris Violet - Gris Brun - Bleu Noir Irisé - Patina Gold - Marron Irisé - Nacre Orange - Argent Mauve

in the end 4 colours didn't turn out like how i anticipated: Gris Violet, Gris Brun, Marron Irisé, Nacre Orange, so i'm a bit disappointed with this order.

Gris Violet is a matte charcoal. it swatches a bit sheer but applies smoothly and rather evenly. it blends out well and has a good pigmentation. i didn't think that it would be so dark, though (and also i didn't notice that it would be a matte). most amazing is the minimal - barely there fall out.

Gris Brun looks more like what i would imagine a "gris violet" would look like. a matte purple-y dark taupe. it also applies smoother and more pigmented than in my swatch. no fall out, too. it reminds me of MAC's Copperplate but the texture is inferior to Copperplate.

Bleu Noir Irisé is a dark bright royal blue with blue shimmer. it's a bit sheerer than i would like it to be but applied wet it's really intense. it blends well with minimal fall out. it reminds me of MAC's Deep Truth but is a bit lighter.

Patina Gold is an golden olive shade with gold shimmer and sparkles. it has a smooth texture and a high pigmentation which weirdly doesn't translate onto my lids. applied it looks quite bland. a beautiful colour but nothing like what i expected and also no patina gold for me.

Marron Irisé is a matte terracotta brown base shade with lots of copper sparkles. it appears as a matte shade aver blending. a very warm, almost non-wearable colour for me that i can only use layerd over a cool dark shade to give it a warm touch. it's highly pigmented and applies evenly.

Nacre Orange is a very rich shimmery gold in the pan, but applies as a fiery yellowish orange with gold shimmer and frost on me. sadly not a good gold and not wearable for me.

Argent Mauve is a shimmery icy white with greyish lavendar tinge. smooth texture, high pigmentation, good blendability. a very brightening shade.

here are some looks i created using these eyeshadows:

#1

Kosmetik Kosmo Braungold on the inner part, Make Up Atelier Paris Gris Brun on the outer corner with Marron Irisé layered on it.

#2

Kosmetik Kosmo Grüngold on the inner half of the lid, Make Up Atelier Paris Bleu Nuit Irisé on outer V, used wet on the outer parts of the lid. additionally Gris Violet to darken the outer corner.

#3

Make Up Atelier Paris Argent Mauve on the inner corner, inner third of the lid and on the lower lashline. Patina Gold on the outer part, partially used wet to intensify.

#4

when i recognized how unflattering Make Up Atelier Paris' Nacre Orange looks on me, i started to do a rather experimental look with it together with Gris Violet on the outer parts and used wet on the brows.
