MAC Eyeliners is a topic that never has interested me much. they are too expensive to me, and since i never used eyeliners other than black liquid liner very often and had found very nice eye pencils in the drugstore, i never cared much about them. in my opinion you don't need to buy expensive eye liners other than for the colour. if the colour fascinates you, definitely go for it. the high end brands often glare for their unique shades. there are many high quality liners out there with an affordable price.
so from time to time i see a colour that amazes me and i have to have it.
the same happened with Powersurge.
it's an Eye Kohl from the permanent range, i have heard about it here and there but never paid special attention. but then i saw a swatch somewhere ... and now it's here ;)
MAC Eye Kohls contain 1.45g and cost 16.50€.
Powersurge is a khaki green with very fine bronzey golden shimmer and sheen. a beautiful glowing colour.
i like to frame my eyes with it on the lower lashline and sometimes on the outer half of the lid. it glides on my skin smoothly without tugging and applies evenly and opaque. it doesn't irritate my eyes. the staying power is not amazing, it fades on my rather watery eyes about 6-7 hours after application. on the waterline it has no chance. it's also not smudgeproof, waterproof or anything at all.
you see, the colour is the only striking attribute of this.
this is how it looks applied. i wore it on the lower lashline and a bit on the outer parts of the lid.

Great review - I love the "rub test" idea, it really shows how a product will last :)

Erstaunliches Ergebnis bei Wischtest ;)!!
ReplyDeleteSchade, dass Powersurge nicht für die Wasserlinie geeignet ist.
Hi! I found your blog via Will Work for Makeup, and I LOVE IT. Starting last night I've read all the way back to your first post on December 1st. Really great blog, lots of interesting things to look at and read. I look forward to new posts now! :D
ReplyDeleteEntweder hast du totales Glück oder weißt einfach, was dir steht ;) die Farbe passt finde ich so perfekt zu dir, wunderbar :D
ReplyDeleteLiebe Grüße

ReplyDeleteI just recently purchased Power Surge and have been using it almost every day! It's a great subtle, but noticeable color. I especially like it for the bottom lashline as it isn't too dark. It looks lovely on you! :)
ReplyDeleteHaha. While this didn't convince me to try a mac eyeliner yet, I now totally want the P2 Perfect Look Kajal!
ReplyDeletebei mir hält powersurge auch auf der wasserlinie. wo sonst nix hält. sehr erstaunlich.
