Guerlain Ecrin 6 Couleurs in #29 Rue de Sèvres: looks

today, again, i want to show you some looks one can do with the Guerlain Ecrin 6 Couleurs palettes. i didn't have "how it looks worn"-photos when i did my review about my 3 Guerlain palettes and i want to catch up on this now. at 72€ these are quite expensive so i thought it would be nice to at least have some eye make up looks for you to see how they appear applied and how versatile a palette could be. this time it's about the #29 Rue de Sèvres.

  1. I like the look of the icy blue color along your lash line, it brings attention to your eyes better! I also think that Guerlain palette is really, really pretty the combinations and looks you could put together using that would be endless!

  2. I have several of these palettes from Guerlain, and they remain sort of unused. I find the other eye shadows from Guerlain more buttery smooth and pigmented. You look lovely though!

  3. This is the first time ever that I have seen looks with a palette like these that are pretty and also distinguishable! Normally, they just look all the same, LOL! But I like both a lot and with your skill in makeup, there's reason in buying these expensive things :-)

  5. @hopelessly devoted to makeup: thank you! i think this would be a nice winter look. and you're right, those palettes by Guerlain are real treasures, and unlike some other reviewers, i really appreciate it's fine textured eyeshadow with not so many shimmery/frosty shades. these are also real everyday-palettes with their wearable subtle shades.

    @flyavsted: thank you!
    after i first bought them, i didn't really used them very often, too. first because i always thought of them as little treasures to own and not touch, but also because they are quite heavy and most shades not so "out there". but in the last time, i really came to appreciate them as wearable, neutral eyeshadows that are great for work but also contain an eyecatcher. these palettes are more firmly pressed than the quads or dior palettes for example, but i think also because they contain less shimmer but light and fine pigment.

    @Lili: oh thank you. you make me blush ;) i don't think of myself being extraordinary skilled in make up or so, but i like shiny and beautiful things and have worked out how to do it on me to look ok. also i love good tools and probably that's also a big factor for how my make up ends up.
    but i think really "skilled" persons can do it right with a lot of different products, not necessarily expensive ;) "passioned" are rather those who buy them :P
