Le Métier de Beauté Radiance Powder Rouge in Echo.

i bought the Le Métier de Beauté Radiance Powder Rouge in Echo ages ago but again, procrastination and lacking of presentable swatches and on-face photos caused the huge gap between purchase and review ;P
i was surprised how small the blush is, it's exacly the same size as their eyeshadows. a rubberized plastic compact, small and sleek with a little mirror inside. it holds 3.8g of product, same amount as an eyeshadow.
Le Métier de Beauté is available on zuneta.com or the usual suspects (Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Nordstrom, Saks, etc.), the Radiance Powder Rouge retails for £25/~31€/30$.

heavy swatch (multiple swipes) and sheered out

Echo must be their most popular blush shade, it's this universally flattering pairing of strawberry pink with gold pearl shimmer.
i was quite underwhelmed with this blusher at first and even today i can't give an explicite thumbs up or thumbs down - is it me or is it the blush? or did i get a dud one? i couldn't even believe it since i was so pleased with many other LMdB products.
the effect is lovely, as you can see from my "this is how it looks worn"-pic below. however, the texture is unexpectedly disappointing for Le Métier de Beauté. it's very firmly pressed, doesn't feel very finely milled, soft or silky. and it swatches unevenly and sheer. very sheer. transparent-sheer, which irritated me. feels like a hardened, overbaked product.
its performance application-wise is quite ok. it's sheer but buildable, not only with the LMdB Blush Brush but also with my softer Chikuhodo Z4 or SUQQU Cheek Brush. the finish is refined and even, a natural veil of soft colour and subtle glow.
it wears well on me, doesn't fade or become blotchy through the day. i like to wear Echo both on its own or layered over a matte peach/bronze blusher.

have you tried this blusher? did you experience the same with the texture or did i get a faulty product?

comparison

a big comparison with many other pinky/gold blushes from my stash. Echo seems muted with more red tones in it. the gold shimmer is more settled compared to other blushes.

    1. haha you're so right! every brand does have at least one version of peachy pink with gold shimmers, don't they? XD

  3. That's strange! I have this and it's actually very soft and not pressed hard at all, that I find it to be a bit powdery even. Perhaps you got a dud? They might have inconsistencies in between batches. I do prefer using the Tuscan Sunset eyeshadow (as a blush) to Echo. Echo is just okay on me but Tuscan Sunset is more unique and brightens my complexion more.

    1. My experience is like Anon's - my Echo is quite soft and I have to be careful not to overcook it.

    2. that's so helpful to know! thank you! i must have gotten a bad batch, then! maybe i should contact LMdB? but i have bought it really long ago...maybe 6 months now?

    3. It couldn't hurt to email LMdB. If they stand behind their product, 6 months shouldn't matter to them.
