Urban Decay Liquid Liner in Lucky and Roach.

because i was quite pleased with the first UD Liquid Liner i bought in the shade Honey, i wanted to try some more colours of this line. i really like the colourful liquid liner as a special twist in my eye make up look or as a really quick and easy look on its own.
i bought these two on ebay, they were quite bargain-ish but original. UD Liquid Liners contain 7.5ml.
again i really dislike the cute but impractical inkwell design of the packaging, but the product is nice and affordable. plus, Urban Decay produces a wide array of colours to choose from.
the brush has a nice flexibility and fine tip and i find it quite easy to handle. most important these liquid liners last all day on my oily lids without crumbling, smudging or the stamp-effect. 

Lucky is a bronzey copper with a metallic finish. it has a thick liquid consistency and applies even and opaque in one stroke. it's a very warm and eyecatching colour due to the reflective finish. i have to make sure to apply plenty of mascara or tightline or double line to avoid my eyes looking naked when wearing this.

Roach first and foremost is a terrible name for a cosmetic product.
otherwise it's a shimmery aubergine colour with small multicolour glitter. it's a nice subtle colour that can be worn everyday since it appears like a slighty shimmery dark maroon brown on the lid.
it was a bit gritty when i first opened it, so i tried to dilute it with some drops of a fixing spray. now it has a better texture but still a bit gritty. i would use it with a separate eyelining brush from now on because i find the applicator much too messy.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Honey.

this is the first time i tried the infamous Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils. i found the colour Honey that seems to be discontinued on allcosmeticswholesale.com for 9.99$.
normally UD liners cost 18$/13£ and contain 1.2g of product.
Honey is an intense brass gold colour with metallic finish. i don't have any colour like this in my collection (it almost reminds me of Kosmetik Kosmo Braungold eyeshadow, but has more green in it). the colour is a bit too light for me to wear on the upper lid (so i would wear it as a double liner) but it looks lovely on the lower lashline. however this intense gold has to be balanced well with browns or cool shades to not look weird on me.
it really lives up to the hype: glides smoothly on my skin perfectly with intense pigmentation and even finish. it stays on very well without transfer, it's smudgeproof and lasts all day on me. i haven't tried this on the waterline though, since it would not look good there.
the lead is rather soft, but since this is not an everyday colour, i don't fear the fast wear down.
now i really want to try more, i'm looking for Baked, Stash and 1999. the original price is a bit high i find, i hope to find some at sale prices.

here i've worn it as a double-liner with MAC's Coffee eye pencil on the upper lid and UD Honey on its own on the lower lashline. eyeshadow was the gold taupe in NARS Rajasthan ( ♥ ).

Urban Decay Liquid Liner in Honey.

sorry, hahaha, i guess the gold goes on!
i got a bit over the gold eyeshadow look but still wanted some gold in my eye make up, so i chose a gold liner to achieve that. i bought this Urban Decay Liquid Liner in Honey on allcosmeticswholesale.com, it costs 8.99$ and contains 7.5ml (which i think is an awesome amount that you get!).
i heard only good things about its quality, but just like the many others i truly find this cute inkwell-like packaging pointless. first, you can't ever use up the product when it's in a shape like that. and second, the opening makes it impossible to effectively wipe off excess product at the stopper so you will either end up with too much on your applicator or with product all over the opening notch when you try to wipe it off (or take out the brush in an angle). 
other than that, Honey is a beautiful rich golden bronze with lots of shimmer and a metallic finish. it's not too light so it still somewhat frames my eyes but the effect is special enough to be a real eyecatcher.
the brush is also easily to handle since it has a good flexibility and a fine tip. if i get too much product on the applicator, i'd carefully try to wipe it off or i would start on the middle of my lid to not get the thick line on the inner corner. the texture of the liner is like a thin cream, making it easy to control. it applies evenly and opaque with the first stroke.
staying power is very good as expected. no smudging, no transfer, no crumbling over the whole time wearing and still easy to remove.
i love to wear this intense golden bronze with cool toned make up looks to create some contrast. the metallic shimmery gold peeks out beautifully between your lashes.
albeit the packaging is really unwieldy, i am impressed with the formula and already have ordered two other shades of these liners.

Urban Decay NAKED: a lot of neutral looks!

penultimate part of my Urban Decay Naked installment: today i will show you some looks you can do with this palette. i've only done looks with the palette's eyeshadows exclusively to show you its own versatility - but combined with colourful shades or other neutrals from your existing stash, the combinations maybe are endless ;)
i've been playing around with it a bit more in the last days and must come to the conclusion that all the shadows in there have a decent quality. initially i mourned about the matte shades a bit but after some eye make ups i must admit that they behave much better when they are used on the lid. the same applies to Creep - it's more pigmented when applied with a brush on my primed lid and provides an totally acceptable darkness to my eye looks.
still, the glitter fall out with Sidecar and Gunmetal is quite annoying.

first six shades in sunlight: Virgin - Sin - Naked - Sidecar - Buck - Half Baked

last six shades in sunlight: Smog - Darkhorse - Toasted - Hustle - Creep - Gunmetal

now let's start with the looks!

#1 shimmery neutral

• Virgin as brow bone highlight
• Sin in the inner third of the lid
• Sidecar on the outer part of the lid and blended up
• Darkhorse in the crease
• Sidecar and Smog on the lower lashline.
• black winged liner.

#2 warm shimmery eyes

• Toasted all over the lid, blended up to the crease
• Hustle concentrated along the upper lashline, slightly blended into Toasted and a little bit on the outer corner of lower lashline
• Half Baked layered on Toasted in the inner corner and inner half of lower lashline
• Naked to blend the upper edge to the brow bone 

#3 (mostly) matte and subtle

• Virgin on the brow bone
• Naked all over the lid to the crease
• Buck in the crease and outer corner
• Sin in the inner corner
• Sidecar on the lower lashline 
• matte brown eyeliner on the upper lid (i used MAC Coffee)

#4 Gold and Steel

• Gunmetal on the lid, blended up to the crease and the outer corner of lower lashline
• Half Baked on the inner third of the lid, the inner corners and the inner half of lower lashline
• Creep on the outer corner of the lid 

 #5 matte & shimmery

• Naked all over the lid up to the crease
• Sin in inner corner feathered out widely and on inner third of lower lashline
• Smog used with a wet brush as a thick winged liner, starting in the middle of upper lid joining the lower lashline

 #6 smokey brown

• Darkhorse all over the lid blended up to the crease
• Smog dabbed in the middle part of the lid and the outer half of lower lashline
• Half Baked dabbed in the most center of the lid near the lashline to add an gold eyecatcher and make the eye make up look more dimensional
• Creep on the outer corner
• Sin in the inner corner and inner half of lower lashline
