summer lips.

i want to share a lip combination with you that i've been liking lately: a glass like soft pink lip with shimmery orange heart. i find it very fun and youthful, the shimmery orange in the center gives it a special twist and gleams in the sun. at the same time it's soft and wearable and not too bright or overpowering.

here i was wearing it with a very simple eye make up and a glowy complexion make up.

i used a rather sheer pink lipgloss with tiny shimmer and MAC Blush in Style. i wanted to have a very shimmery, fairly bright goldeny orange and since i have no lipstick, eyeshadow or loose pigment in the desired shade, i looked through my blush stash and found Style to be the most suitable. of course this is just an exemplary selection, you can use whatever you want. i imagine the opposite combination of a bright shimmery pink center with a glossy peachy-orange lip would look amazing as well.

i just applied a good amount of orange blusher onto the center of my lips and afterwards carefully dabbed the lipgloss onto the entire lip with my finger, starting with the outer corners to avoid smudging the concentrated orange shimmer.

what do you think? would you try it?

i know some blushes are not "lip safe", i don't know and don't care if MAC Style is or not, though. and i'm risky like that. yeah.
they wouldn't be allowed to make it so toxic that you drop dead by just wearing it on the lips few times anyway.
