MAC Blushes revisited: Dainty.

next in alphabetical line of my MAC Blushes is the Mineralize Blush in Dainty.
lightweight baked minerals should enhance the luminosity of your cheeks. the Mineralize Blushes contain 3.5g and cost 23€ (in germany) /22$/19£.
they only come in the container form and not as a refill pan due to their lower stability due to the baked formula and the dome shape that wouldn't fit into the Pro Palettes anyway.

Dainty is one of the permanent shades, it's a basic and easy to wear warm candy pink. very girly and youthful. it has very fine multicolour crystal glimmer bits and doesn't appear frosty at all, so it doesn't make you look greasy or emphasize on uneven skin and enlarged pores. the texture is rather dry but not chalky, it applies and blends very well to give you a fresh and bright look with a nice dimensional highlight effect.  i really appreciate the nice quality of these blushes since i find many drugstore baked blushes either being too chalky or too frosty. Dainty is a great colour for spring.

without blusher - with MAC Dainty.

comparison

1 - Cargo Polynesia, 2 - Chanel Pink Explosion, 3 - MAC Dainty, 4 - Cargo Montebello, 5 - NARS Deep Throat
1 - Cargo Polynesia, 2 - Chanel Pink Explosion, 3 - MAC Dainty, 4 - Cargo Montebello, 5 - NARS Deep Throat

colourwise, it's quite similar to NARS Deep Throat, but lacks the fine gold sheen DT has.
it's much warmer than the other shades i compared it with.

  5. Hi! I love your reviews, they are very complete and you always say everything I want to know about a product. But I have a question - a hard one - if you don't mind.
I like colors that are not flat or chalky. I like transparency and dimention and I think they are as important as the colors in a good blush. But not glittery or frosty either. I know you know what I mean.
Having read all your reviews on blushes (yes, all of them!), which one would you say is best, if you had to choose only one. (or two :D): guerlain 4 eclats, chanel, cargo, MAC mineralize blushes?
    Thank you :)

  6. I may give this a miss as I have NARS Deep Throat, but it *is* really pretty. Maybe I'll swatch it on counter and change my mind. :)

  7. thank you everyone for the comments!

@TzeYien89: yeah, when i browse through my "first" posts, the yellow artificial lighting of the winter creeps me out ;)

@renata: thank you for taking your time to read my reviews. i'd say if you go for a glowy dimension in terms of a glow, best choices are the MAC Mineralize blushes if you want a cool toned colour (a pink) and Cargo's BeachBlushes for a warm (golden) glow.
Guerlain's blushes are dimensional in terms of being very sculpting but at the same time very subtle.

  8. The blush color looks good on you.
Mac Dainty blush would definitely be on my buying list now!
I hope it will look as good on my skin tone NC20 :)

  9. This is one of those blushes that has been suggested to me by multiple people. I'm more of a peach blush girl but this is so beautiful I may make an exception.

  11. I just got my new Dainty and I'm thrilled about how pigmented it is.
The shimmer disappears on my face and just a glow is seen.
the colour is a warm pink tone, pinker than some of my peachy blushes.
I am using it everyday if I want sth young, easy to pair with and casual!
